Schools to battle it out for consumer titleOrganised by the Council's Trading Standards Division, the knock out quiz will take place in the County Hall and is aimed at teams of pupils aged 14-17 years old.![]() Teams from David Picken, Divisional Trading Standards Officer for Swansea Council said, "This competition is proving popular as it helps young people to become aware of their rights and responsibilities and provides them with skills for life as they prepare for the world of work." This final will act as an eliminator for local schools and colleges and the winner will represent Swansea at an all Wales Final in Llandrindod Wells on the 13th and 14th March 2006. The winner of this will go forward to represent Cllr John Hague, Cabinet Member for Environment said, "The questions that the teams have to answer at all levels of the competition are an excellent grounding for pupils who may wish to study law, economics, food technology or business studies. Many students are able to include their participation in the competition on their UCAS forms as part of their personal statement."
