Image editing

An introduction to the world of photograph editing using industry standard software.

Students will develop their skills in many aspects of editing from basic computer skills needed to work on images, through to complex editing tasks that are needed in today's photography. Students will be given many small tasks and several larger projects that will cover the length of the module.

Themes covered include: downloading images, image storage, file types, basic image adjustments, tools, restoration and the clone tool, levels, printing and saving, basic layers, type and styles, filters, cropping and levelling, image quality control, black and white conversion, channels, selections, frames.

Suitable for: students will need at least some basic camera and computer skills.
