Age Cymru Swansea Bay's Grocery Shopping Service

On-line ordering with supermarkets

Most of the major supermarkets in Swansea offer an on-line shopping service, where you order your groceries etc. using a computer then they deliver the goods to your door for a small charge. Once you have used the service, the system will remind you of the things you have bought previously so it soon becomes a simple matter to order your regular supplies. The website for your favourite supermarket should have easy-to-follow instructions.

Local deliveries

Some local supermarkets and shops such as greengrocers, butchers and ironmongers will deliver free in their local area. You may have to visit the shop to make your purchases, or you may be able to telephone an order through. Ask at your local shops.

And don't forget that many areas of Swansea still have a traditional milkman who can deliver a range of basic groceries as well as milk and dairy produce.

Prescription delivery

Many pharmacies offer a prescription service where they collect your prescription from your GP, dispense it and deliver the medicines to your home.
