Aids and Equipment

There is a wide variety of aids and equipment that can make life easier for people with a disability or health condition, or those who are just finding it more difficult to get around.

There are a number of mobility aids shops in Swansea where you can purchase anything from a mobility scooter or a stairlift to easy-grip cutlery and velcro-fastening slippers.  The advantage of buying locally is that you can try things out for yourself, and perhaps get advice from experienced staff.

If getting to the shops is difficult, there are also many on-line websites which sell aids and equipment.

Health-related charities, such as the RNIBOpens new windowAction on Hearing LossOpens new window and the Stroke AssociationOpens new window, also sell equipment that may be particularly useful to people with the condition they support.
