Glynn Vivian collections
The Glynn Vivian Art Gallery collections offer a range of visual arts, from the original bequest of Richard Glynn Vivian (1835-1910) to 20th Century Welsh and contemporary art.
The Gallery offers a broad range of visual arts from the original bequest of Richard Glynn Vivian (1835-1910), which includes works by old masters as well as an international collection of Swansea China.
Our Conservation team care for all the artworks in the Collection, with a special focus at present on Richard Glynn Vivian's original bequest, supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
This small group of 19th century ceramics can be handled and considered for use in drawing, painting, pottery or sculpture sessions, offering sensory access too for everyone, as they are very tactile.
Hundreds of oil paintings from the gallery's collection including works by Monet, Pissarro and Evan Walters are among those included on the BBC website 'Your Paintings' devoted to the arts.
