Coedgwilym cemetery

Coedgwilym cemetery is located in Clydach. Burial records for the cemetery are available from 8th April 1920.

Memorialisation options include a cremated remains plot scheme (bricked/earthen) and a scattering Gardens of Remembrance. Full kerb memorials are permitted in sections 1,2 and 3 of the cemetery. Section 4 is only for lawn memorials. Services are available Monday to Saturday and are 30 minutes long.

Opening times

Access to cars and other vehicles are available at the following times. There are no restrictions for pedestrian access as public rights of way exist throughout the cemetery.

9.00am - 4.30pm Monday to Thursday

9.00am - 4.00pm Friday

10.00am - 4.00pm Weekends & Bank Holidays.

Travelling to Coedgwilym Cemetery

Postcode - SA6 5PB

Travelling by car - Leave the M4 at Junction 45and head north on the A4067 towards Pontardawe. Continue on this road for approximately 1 ½ miles. At the roundabout take the first left towards Clydach. At the mini roundabout turn right towards Pontardawe on the B4063. Coedgwilym cemetery is around three quarters of a mile up the road on the right hand side. The cemetery gates are just beyond the bus stop.

Travelling by bus - The cemetery is on a main bus route. The route is served by the No 125 from Swansea Quadrant Bus Station to Ystradgynlais and runs every 30 minutes. There is a stop just past the cemetery with the return stop being outside the gates.

Travelling by train - The nearest station is Swansea High Street Station.  Buses and taxis can be found at the front of the station.  Coedgwilym Cemetery is approximately 16 minutes drive.
