Continental Market set for city centre

French cheese, Spanish paella and German sausages will be among the tasty treats available at a continental market in the city centre later this week.

Continental Market

The continental market on Oxford Street will run from Thursday September 21 to Sunday September 24.

Swansea Council and a company called RR Events are behind the market. It will run from 10am to 6pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and from 10am to 4pm on Sunday.

The market will be made up of more than 20 stalls.

Sarah Lawton, from the council's city centre team, said: "Continental markets of this kind are always popular in the city centre. They help create atmosphere and boost footfall, so it's beneficial for the city centre's other businesses and traders too.

"This is another example of the type of vibrant events that are regularly held in the city centre as we look to give visitors variety and generate more trade."

Peruvian crafts, Spanish churros and Greek souvlaki will be among the other products at the continental market.
