The video cards, put together by Swansea Council, feature a little boy with his teddy bear, putting out a stocking for Santa that includes a trip to Swansea Bay on top of his festive wish list. It tells the story of how much the little boy and his family are looking forward to a legendary adventure in Swansea Bay.

Building up to the Visit Wales Year of Legends in 2017, the video card builds on an already successful campaign, which included a video released in the autumn to promote Legendary Adventures in Swansea Bay, featuring moonlit beaches, crashing waves, windswept coastlines and castles at night.

Cllr Robert Francis-Davies, Swansea Council's Cabinet Member for Enterprise, Development and Regeneration, said: "The videos are an integral part of the Year of Legends campaign, raising awareness of the natural landscape and tourism businesses in the area in an engaging way. Our tourism team has put together yet another really creative marketing campaign that I know that our marketing partners in the tourism sector will be delighted with.

"The Christmas video card has been sent to our tourism team's database of more than 20,000 customers, uploaded to YouTube and shared on Visit Swansea Bay's social media accounts as we look to further raise the profile of Swansea Bay as a visitor destination across the UK and further afield.

"The video has also been distributed to all the journalists, bloggers and vloggers who have either visited Swansea Bay this year or have expressed an interest in visiting. Their visits have generated more than £2m worth of publicity in 2016."
