Best Start - Where to spend quality time together in Swansea

Ideas on where you can spend time together in and around Swansea.

We all like to watch TV but try to make it a family activity. It's much more fun watching your favourite programme together and much better than all being in different rooms! Pretend you're all on Gogglebox! Then turn the TV off and try some of these activities, they're much more fun!

Include your children in your pastimes - take them fishing or teach them how to play golf or tennis if you enjoy them. There's also a great new FootGolf course in Swansea.

Children's tickets for the Ospreys and the Swans are very reasonable so if you're a fan take them with you to experience top live sport.

Other active places you could spend time are 360 Beach and Watersports which in addition to lots of activities on the beach and in the sea, also has a great cafe.

On wet days there's always the LC, Wales' biggest indoor waterpark, which also has play areas, a climbing wall and sports halls and various other leisure centres across Swansea Active Swansea centres.

The National Waterfront Museum is a fantastic place to spend time with your children. They have hands on exhibits and lots of events and activities for families.

Or visit the Egypt Centre at the university and learn about ancient Mummies (and Daddies).

Take your children to the various markets around Swansea - in addition to the Swansea Indoor Market (the best and largest in Wales) there's the Uplands Market most weekends now selling a huge range of Welsh products and hand made items. All great places to buy fresh local produce.

How about going to see a film together? As well as the Odeon and Vue, other venues in Swansea such as Cinema & Co and Taliesin also show films for the younger audience. In the summer time there are often outdoor cinemas in the parks - What's on in Swansea
