Ghoulish Halloween fun lined up for city centre

Spooktacular fun is on the way to Swansea city centre in the build-up to Halloween.

Halloween

Swansea Council has organised an event called Spooks in the City that's taking place in Castle Square on Saturday October 29.

Starting at 10am, the fun will include creepy snacks, ghoulish flash mobs and live Halloween-themed entertainment from the Mark Jermin stage school.

A trick or treat trail, a scary sing-along parade and spooky films will also feature.

From 4pm to 7.30pm, Peppermint Bar on Wind Street will play host to a Halloween-themed school disco.

Free family Halloween fun is also being made available in Swansea Market on Saturday October 29 from 10am to 4pm. Spooky face painting, gruesome grub-making and a ghastly ghost hunt form part of the event.

Other Halloween events include the return of the Halloween ghost train along Swansea promenade between 4.45pm and 7.45pm from Friday October 28 to Sunday October 30. There will also be a Halloween Spooktacula at Oystermouth Castle on Saturday October 29 that will include creepy crafts, gory games and ghastly ghost stories.

There are two age groups: Mini Monsters for three to seven-year-olds and Daring Devils for seven to 11-year-olds.

You can also experience Plantasia after dark with Halloween Spook Nights on Sunday October 30 and Monday October 31 from 5.30pm to 7pm that will include creepy story-telling and antics.
