5 x 60

Pupils across Wales are experiencing a new and inventive way of taking part in Sport and Physical Activity in Swansea

5x60

Our Officers are changing provision of sport in schools and showing that halls, gyms and playing fields can be used from morning 'til night.

The Activities
Officers hold consultations with groups of pupils within in school before deciding on a programme of activities to be run in extra- curricular sessions. By consulting with pupils, officers can ensure that the activities provided are ones proving popular with pupils and therefore ensuring full and active sessions. Some of the activities offered by 5x60 are Street Dance, football, cricket, climbing. These are just a small snapshot of the activities run across the City!

5x60 provides schools with the opportunity to:
·         Listen to the needs of young people by providing opportunities that they would like to participate in
·         Be fully inclusive for all young people
·         Provide sport and physical activity sessions in a safe and non- competitive environment

By getting involved in the 5x60 programme, young people will;
·         Have ownership of the activities that they have selected
