Shared Ambition is Critical - Swansea's Community Strategy

What's Your Big Ambition?

All areas in Wales have to have a Community Strategy. Swansea's Community Strategy "Ambition is Critical" was first published in 2004 and has been annually updated since 2005. Copies of the Strategy and the Updates to the plan can be downloaded from this page. The Welsh Assembly Government issued revised guidance in 2008 to ensure that Community Strategies make more of an impact. This guidance can be downloaded from the Welsh Assembly Government.

To take on board this new Guidance, Swansea has produced a new Community Strategy plan. It was produced as a shadow document initially to allow for maximum consultation and engagement with interested groups. It also provided an opportunity for any new plans and strategies that were being produced, to be consistent with the new Community Strategy.
