Gym night with a difference at Morriston Leisure Centre
A free fun and fitness event is being held at Active Swansea's Morriston Leisure Centre for people of all ages and abilities.
The Swansea Council event, taking place on Wednesday May 18, starts at 3.30pm and finishes at 7.30pm.
Free health checks and nutritional advice, cooking demonstrations and an opportunity to experience what Morriston Leisure Centre has to offer are among the activities being made available.
Cllr Mark Child, Swansea Council's Cabinet Member for Healthy City and Wellbeing, said: "At this time of the year people want to take part in exercise to be ready for the summer, so the free open evening is a good way to discover all the different activities that are available to get in shape.
"The event will showcase everything that people can do with a membership at Active Swansea, helping them to get fit and be in good health. Membership covers all the Active Swansea venues.
"The activities at our leisure centres aren't just fun - they also allow members to meet new people, set goals and targets and generally have a more positive outlook through increased health and fitness.
"For some people, this free event will offer a great opportunity to try activities they've never tried before in a relaxed and inviting way. There will be a whole host of free taster classes, from kettlebells and yoga for adults to gymnastics, bounce and soft play for juniors. People who go along can try as many activities for free as they like."
